1. Invest in a world class striker
Ever since Spurs sold Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane in the disastrous summer of 2008, the club have struggled to find a top quality striker to lead the line. The likes of Darren Bent, Roman Pavlyuchenko have come and gone, while Jermain Defoe has been a near ever-present but seems only capable of scoring in fits and starts.
Most commentators agree that Spurs would have already secured Champions League football for next season if chairman Daniel Levy had coughed up for a new striker in January, particularly with Emmanuel Adebayor and Defoe hopelessly off-form.
Regardless of whether Spurs sell the inconsistent Defoe or the frustrating Ivorian this summer, they must invest in a new striker and, with Gareth Bale, Mousa Dembele and Aaron Lennon providing the service, they will be no shortage of stars interested in a move to White Hart Lane.
