1. Easy schedule
The Broncos had an easy schedule last season, and the only winning teams they beat were the Chargers and Chiefs. They failed tests against the Colts, Patriots(in the regular season with Gronkowski and Talib healthy) and one of their games against the Chargers. They were exposed in the Super Bowl as a team who had rarely been battle tested, but now they will have to face the NFC West in a difficult schedule that may cause them to win as little as 10 games.
Meanwhile, the Patriots have an extremely easy schedule. They get to play the Dolphins and Bills twice, and the Jets aren’t particularly a scary match for them either. They have challenging games against the Broncos, Colts and Packers. The Bears and Bengals are moderately challenging as well, but both of those games will be at home. There are plenty of easy matchups such as the Raiders, Chiefs and Vikings. With the schedule and roster they have, the Patriots will finish with an NFL-best 14-2 record. Whether they can win a Super Bowl remains to be seen.
