Liverpool’s title challenge
When Brendan Rodgers took charge at Anfield in the summer of 2012 the Northern Irishman brought his continental ideologies and an desire to play attractive football to the sleeping giants of the English game.
The Reds have not won the title since 1990 and last term it looked like more of the same with a seventh place finish in another uninspiring year.
Yet something has changed on Merseyside, things have clicked and the players have taken Rodgers’ style on board and it’s working to great effect.
His side are top of the table and in the likes of Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard has some of the most in-form players in Europe – it could well be their time.
