Everton have agreed a deal with Argentine side Club Atletico Tigre for Denis Stracqualursi to join on loan.
The 6’3″ striker has been brought in to boost Everton’s firepower, and with rumours flying around today that Jermaine Beckford will be sold to either Leicester City or Fulham, he would be a much needed replacement.
Stracqualursi was the top scorer in the Argentine Primera last season, and his ability to find the net almost at will is no doubt of huge interest to David Moyes.
His height also means that he could be a good aerial threat from crosses from the likes of Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman.
However, despite his clear pedigree in Argentina, there must be doubt that the 23 year-old Stracqualursi will adapt to the Premier League.
It is certainly a gamble for David Moyes, but on the whole he has been impressive on his low budget in the transfer market.
