Everton manager David Moyes says his focus is on his own team – despite the shock of Manchester United being thrashed 6-1 at home by local rivals Man City last weekend.
That might make today’s early kick-off at Goodison Park somewhat difficult to prepare for, and so Moyes is concentrating on Everton.
He will of course face a player he brought through the Everton academy in Wayne Rooney, who has become one of the best players in the world under Sir Alex Ferguson’s stewardship.
Ferguson claimed Rooney would always be a “traitor” to Everton fans, but Moyes was only complimentary about the England forward.
