The Broncos’ newly-signed Safety gets his court hearing delayed as training camp approaches.
Broncos’ safety T.J. Ward will have his court hearing – resulting from charges relating to an incident at a strip club in May – delayed until August 4th.
According to the Associated Press, Ward has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor assault and disturbing the peace charges for allegedly throwing a glass mug at a female bartender at PT’s All Nude Club on May 10th.
Ward played 4 seasons in Cleveland before signing with the Broncos as a free agent in March. He was named 2nd Team All-Pro and made his first Pro Bowl this past year after recording over 100 tackles and 3 non-offensive TDs.
Ward signed for $22.5 million and is considered one of the key acquisitions for the Broncos’ defensive makeover in their attempt to return to the Superbowl.
