Sao Paulo starlet Lucas Piazon completed a transfer to Chelsea in March this year, but was not expected to move until January 2012, when he turns 18.
However, he today has joined up with the Chelsea squad, and will train with the team until he is eligible to make his debut next year.
Piazon is an attacking midfielder often compared with Real Madrid star Kaka for his elegant running style and the timing of his runs, but Chelsea boss Andre Villas Boas may deem the Brazilian teenager a possible successor for Frank Lampard.
Piazon can also play a deeper role in midfield, or even as a second striker, and has even been described by Brazil legend Zico as an excellent passer of the ball.
It will be interesting to see how much of a role he plays for Chelsea this season.
