Daniel Sturridge could be about to leave Chelsea for Liverpool afer a flurry of activity on the betting market.
SkyBet are reporting that a series of bets placed on the move happening has forced them to slash their odds of the transfer taking place from 9/1 to evens. Liverpool have been surprisingly active in the last 24 hours with Sebastian Coates having oficially joined the club from Nacional and Joe Cole and Christian Poulsen leving the club for Ligue 1 clubs, Lille and Evian respectively.
A move for Sturridge would be bold and could be part of the negotiations concerning Chelsea’s appraoach for Raul Meireles. The Blues are keen on the Portuguese midfielder but Liverpool want something in return, namely the England Under 21 international.
Whether Chelsea would let one of their brightest young talents leave to secure the signing of the midfielder remains to be seen but the bookmakers rarely get it wrong.
