Ramires – 5
Bags of energy from the South American and his work rate cannot be faulted, but Ramires provided nothing in attack and was slow to react at times around his box.
David Luiz – 6
Was deployed in a more defensive midfield role than his Brazilian partner in the middle and whilst he broke up play well Luiz’s distribution was often poor.
Cesar Azpilicueta – 7
Set up Torres and worked hard all game in a midfield role the Spaniard is not used to and was surprisingly good in the final third – Azpilicueta is really developing into a fine player.
Willian – 7
Worked extremely hard and played a key part in the goal and balanced attack and defence well when called upon and was the Blues’ best player.
Eden Hazard – 5
The home side’s most creative source was suppressed by Juanfran and did not defend well either when called upon, making Chelsea’s left-hand side weak.
