Replaced after 67 minutes by Mikel to shore up the Blues midfield, but his passing was as crisp and precise as ever. He was unlucky not to score as well, as an excellent acrobatic effort was saved.

Centre-forward Samuel Eto’o stole the show, but Hazard was ruthlessly effective down the left hand side for Chelsea. His regular mazy runs caused Rafael problems all afternoon, but he also got back and contributed defensively.
- 29 Samuel Eto’o – 10
The Cameroonian striker showed all Chelsea fans why he was once rated as one of the best strikers in world football. He wrong-footed Phil Jones to open the scoring for the Blues, before showing his natural attacking instincts to score his second and third. Many were surprised he got the nod to play from the start ahead of Fernando Torres, but his performance today more than justified Jose Mourinho’s decision.
