Chelsea are edging closer to the signing of Javier Pastore from Palermo, and could clinch the transfer for far less than the offers ventured in the press by Rosanero president Maurizio Zamparini.
“The only thing that is certain is that [Pastore] is going abroad,” said Zamparini on Radio Radio earlier today.
“We are in the decisive days now and I think Pastore is just one of a few world-class players, but I won’t say where he is going – even under torture.
“The offers are between 40 million and 50m Euros.”
Despite such bold claims, it is thought that both Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have had offers of around 30m Euros (£26m) accepted.
As a result, the decision now rests in the hands of Javier Pastore.
