Chelsea and Arsenal are expecting bids for two of their players from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, according to Italian news source Tutto Mercato.
Blues winger Yuri Zhirkov is one target, while Gunners playmaker Andrei Arshavin is the other.
Zhirkov is reportedly seeking an exit from Stamford Bridge anyway, after failing to break into the first XI since his 2009 transfer.
Ashley Cole is ahead of him at left back, while Chelsea’s 4-3-3 tradition in recent seasons has left no place for an orthodox winger.
Arshavin meanwhile has grown to frustrate Arsenal fans with his perceived lack of effort, and perhaps Arsene Wenger would consider a lucrative sale should he be able to use funds elsewhere – such as on Lille ace Eden Hazard.
