Boxing great Muhammad Ali has been hospitalised with a “mild” case of pneumonia, a spokesperson said.
The 72-year-old was admitted into hospital on Saturday, but is not expected to remain in the hospital long, his spokesperson Bob Gunnell said.
“He was admitted earlier this morning and because the pneumonia was caught early, his prognosis is good with a short hospital stay expected,” he said.
Ali suffers from Parkinson’s disease, with pneumonia being a dangerous complication from the neurological condition.
He has suffered the debilitating condition since 1984.
