HUGE blow for Gunners.
Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is Atletico Madrid’s top target to replace Arda Turan if he joins Chelsea this summer, according to Mirror.
There is also potential for a swap deal involving the two players, which may already be in the works, according to the Daily Star.
Cazorla only recently signed a new deal with the Gunners, however, which has him staying in the Emirates Stadium until 2017.
Meanwhile, Turan is keen to leave Atletico Madrid after playing with them for four seasons.
FC Barcelona are reported to be the frontrunners to land him, but some sources suggest Chelsea could be leading the chase for his signature with a £30m bid expected.
Cazorla would be a welcome addition to Atletico Madrid, as he would instantly upgrade their midfield after impressing in the FA Cup and being a prolific scorer in Premier League matches.
The 30-year-old Spanish international scored eight goals for the Gunners while helping lead them to their second consecutive FA Cup title with a win against Aston Villa.
