It is safe to say that Arsenal have not enjoyed the best of summers in the transfer market so far, and now have both Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri to replace, who have departed for Barcelona and Manchester City respectively.
However, some good news could still come before the end of August, as Lille OSC flyer Eden Hazard has not ruled out a move to the Emirates.
Speaking after his team’s 2-1 win at Caen, Hazard was coy on recent rumours linking him to the Premier League.
“Since the beginning, I have said that I will remain [at Lille], but it is not yet sure,” Hazard told French broadcaster Canal Plus.
“You are never sure of anything.”
“We will see, there are still a few days left [of the transfer window].
“But yes, I expect to stay at Lille this season.”
The BBC claim Arsene Wenger could spend up to £26m on Hazard, but could that kind of money tempt Lille into a sale?
