Gunners forward unhappy at recent sub role.
Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has fired something of a warning to manager Arsene Wenger after his recent ommission from the side, in an interview with Arsenal.com.
The Chilean international discussed his favourite position with the club’s official website, but insisted his main concern is that he is on the pitch and not on the bench!
Having joined in a £35m move from Barcelona this summer, Sanchez has started well in north London, though he recently sat out Premier League games against Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur, to the surprise of many fans.
Wenger may want to be careful, with Sanchez making it clear he hates being a substitute.
“Any position is good for me as long as I’m playing football because I hate being on the bench,” he said. “If you take me off it’s like you’re taking the ball off me.”
