Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to compete for the bargain signing of Schalke defender Benedikt Howedes.
The Premier League trio are said to be very keen on the 27-year-old, who has a £13m release clause in his contract, according to the Daily Star.

Howedes’ current deal expires in June 2017, but he is likely to leave before then, considering his release clause is so affordable and interest in him is so widespread.
Schalke general manager Horst Heldt says that the German club really want to keep Howedes, but he admits that it could be tough to keep hold of him.
