Arsenal have agreed to let young English central midfielder Henri Lansbury go to West Ham United on loan for the season.
With the 20 year-old’s contract up at the end of the season, it is now likely that Lansbury has played his last game in an Arsenal shirt, and will be available on a free transfer in June.
Arsene Wenger has reportedly been unconvinced by either his dedication or consistency during his loan spells, and has decided to make him part of the clearout that appears to be underway at Emirates Stadium.
However, unless Arsenal are able to sign a number of midfielders before the transfer window closes, they could prove short in that area, as injuries and suspensions have left Wenger struggling for selection.
