Arsenal’s woes show no sign of ending with news that Andrei Arshavin is attracting the attention of clubs around Europe.
The People are claiming that Juventus are keen to bring the Russia international to Turin and are readying a bid for the player. Juventus are building an exciting attacking team and hope to have Arshavin operating in tandem with Milos Krasic, the Serbia international who made a huge impact at the club last season.
Galatasaray are also interested as they hope to bring in yet another player with experience of Premier League as they already employ the likes of Johan Elmander, Milan Baros, Colin Kazim-Richards and Emmanuel Eboue. The Turkish giants are hoping that their relationship fostered with Arsenal during the recent successful negotiations over the transfer of Eboue will give them the edge over the Italian side.
Although Arshavin had been widely tipped to be leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer though the sale of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona and the uncertainty around Samir Nasri’s future has seen his importance to Arsene Wenger rise. Unless the player himself agitates for a move it would be highly surprising if the Gunners boss sanctioned the departure of one of his more experienced players.
