Premier League rivals to compete for in-form striker.
Arsenal and Chelsea could be set to lock horns for the signing of outstanding Valencia youngster Paco Alacacer this January, according to the Daily Mirror.
The London duo both signed strikers during the summer, but may still be in need of reinforcements in that area as the Gunners still look short in depth, while the Blues only have Didier Drogba on a short-term deal.
Alacacer burst onto the scene with Valencia last season, scoring 16 goals as he forced his way into the starting lineup in the second half of the season, and he already has two more at the start of this term.
The 21-year-old also netted his first goal for Spain in the recent international break, and looks a player who will surely move to a bigger club before long.
