Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to collide with Barcelona yet again, with both clubs monitoring highly rated Valencia ace Paco Alcacer.
Alcacer, 18, is also believed to have captured the attention of Liverpool who sent scouts to watch the youngster in action after making his La Liga debut last season.
Wenger has been alerted to the €10 million (£8.7 million) release clause in Alcacer’s contract, but with such stiff competition faces a real battle to land his man.
Real Madrid are also reportedly interested in the much sought-after starlet, who scored 15 goals in 13 games for Valencia’s under-17s side last season.
Following their 4-3 defeat to Blackburn on Saturday, Wenger will have more pressing matters to deal with in the forthcoming weeks. However, that hasn’t stopped the French tactician from continuing his preparation for a transfer spree at the end of the season.
