Arsenal have moved to replace the Barcelona bound Cesc Fabregas with Brazil star Jadson, and are believed to have agreed a £12m fee with his club Shakhtar Donetsk.
Both Eurosport and the Independent report that although Arsenal’s opening bid of £8m was rejected, their follow up offer of £12m will be accepted, meaning Jadson could be ready to take part in Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League qualifiers against Serie A team Udinese.
With the season in Ukraine already underway, Jadson is probably sharper than any of the Arsenal team.
His ability from set pieces – both shooting at goal and when setting up chances – could be a valuable asset, and his aptitude with both feet serves him well.
Arsene Wenger hopes to gain £60m from selling Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, and acquiring Jadson would be a steady start.
Arsenal fans however, will expect more signings though.
