Pot 2 – Cameroon
Famously a brace from David Platt conquered the Africans in the quarter-final of the 1990 World Cup – the last time England progressed to the semi-finals.
Despite having some well known names such as Samuel Eto’o and Alex Song, the country are by no means the team to watch out for from African qualification anymore though, ranked 67th in the world.
Pot 3 – Costa Rica
Perennial qualifiers for the biggest international tournament, but largely by virtue of the fact that there are few teams competing in North American qualification – ranked 66th.
