United fans can relax…for now.
Manchester United may have received a major boost in their efforts to keep star player David de Gea after Iker Casillas’ improved form for Real Madrid, according to the Sun.
De Gea has been strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu for some time now, with many feeling that Casillas’ best days were behind him and that a replacement in goal would need to be brought in.
However, the 33-year-old has held off competition from summer signing Keylor Navas and now looks close to being back to his best after some fine recent performances.
This will surely mean the Spanish giants hold off moving for de Gea, who has argualy been United’s best player this season.
