Gunners meet asking price for superb talent.
Arsenal could be set to move ahead of other top clubs in the chase to sign Cruzeiro starlet Lucas Silva after meeting the club’s asking price for the player, according to Marca.
The Gunners are known to be chasing a top class midfielder this January, and want Silva to come in and provide an upgrade on the likes of Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid have also all been linked with the 21-year-old, with the latter thought to be his preferred choice of next club.
Still, Real will need to up their game now if they are to beat Arsenal to his signature, with the Spanish giants trying to get him for a lower price.
