Check out this ludicrously good XI!
Bench: Lukas Fabianski, Kolo Toure, Alex Song, Mathieu Flamini, Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud
The team:
If Arsenal had managed to keep hold of their star players over the past five year, here’s how they could have lined up this term!
French left-back Gael Clichy joined Manchester City, but the rest of the back four is made up from players currently at the club, as is the keeper spot – with Wojciech Szczesny finally starting to fulfil his undeniable talent.
In midfield, the brilliant Cesc Fabregas obviously takes a place, and he could be partnered by either Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Flamini, or even Alex Song, who went to join him in Barcelona! We went with Ramsey, due to his brilliant goal-scoring start to the season.
In the attacking midfield spots, Mesut Ozil is flanked by Santi Cazorla and Samir Nasri, who also joined Manchester City.
Up top, two-time consecutive Golden Boot winner Robin Van Persie spearheads the side, with the very impressive Frenchman Olivier Giroud in reserve.
The Gunners currently top the Premier League table by five points, so imagine how well they’d be doing if this was their squad!
