The Los Blancos star wants Ozil’s pad.
After making the world record £85.3m switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid, Gareth Bale is setting about settling in the Spanish capital and is looking to buy a house.
Bale netted on the Welshman’s debut for the club during a 2-2 draw with Villarreal on Saturday and is set to celebrate by purchasing a £1m home – from new Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil, reports the Mirror.
The two stars essentially swapped locations this summer, with Ozil heading to north London and the former Spurs man going to Madrid.
The German spent three years with Los Merengues, but since transfering to the Gunners has placed the attacking midfielder’s home on the market.
The property is situated in an area of the city known as the Spanish Beverley Hills, due to its exclusiveness and Cristiano Ronaldo already lives there and it was also the preferred location of David Beckham.
Ozil on the other hand is looking for a place in north London and perhaps if this had been thought of earlier, a deal could have been struck between the two players.
It was Bale’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu that made the Germany international finally decide to leave and Arsene Wenger wasted no time in tying up a club record £42.4m deal for the attacking midfielder.
The 24-year-old also had an impressive debut in the Premier League, setting up a goal for Olivier Giroud as Ozil’s side rolled over Sunderland 1-3 at the Stadium of Light.
