Both Egypt and Belgium have confirmed their respective squads for the World Cup, and it’s good news for both nations.
As confirmed on Monday, both Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany have made the final cut and will be heading to Russia this summer.

Salah was a major doubt after sustaining a shoulder injury in the Champions League final last month, as he left the pitch in tears having enjoyed a memorable campaign to that point.
Meanwhile, as noted by The Guardian, there were fears over Kompany’s involvement after he suffered a groin problem in a warm-up friendly last week.
The 31-year-old has had countless issues with injury setbacks in recent years, and he was limited to just 21 appearances this past season for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Whether or not he is able to play a prominent role remains for Belgium to be seen, with Egypt also perhaps selecting Salah hoping he can regain his fitness along the way and make an impact.
Belgium face Panama on June 18, while Egypt are in action against Uruguay on June 15 for their opener.
From a neutral perspective, it’s hoped that all nations can boast their strongest squads, or as close as possible to it, as it will undoubtedly result in a much better tournament.
