How this possible player sale would dent rivals’ transfer hopes.
With reports emerging that Manchester United could be ready to sell Ander Herrera just six months after signing him, it looks as though this story could be cause for concern for both Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Daily Express reports that the Red Devils are ready to offload the under-performing Spaniard, who has been slow to settle at Old Trafford after his eagerly-anticipated move to the club this summer.
However, it has emerged that one of their ideal replacements for Herrera in midfield would be Real Madrid contract rebel Sami Khedira, who has long been linked as a top target in that position for Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Gunners are in particular need of this signing, with Arsene Wenger unlikely to find a better value for money player of that quality anytime soon, with the German international set to be available for free next summer, or on a cut-price deal this winter.
Still, Herrera’s exit would open up a place in Louis van Gaal’s team for Khedira, and put them in a good position to sign the World Cup winner instead.
