We’re used to seeing Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi dominating the headlines, and that doesn’t look like changing this summer.
PSG may have won the Ligue 1 title yesterday, but it was marred by disgruntled fans leaving the Parc des Princes early in order to celebrate in the streets, away from the players.
Many PSG supporters remain unhappy with star trio Neymar, Mbappe and Messi after the humiliating nature of their Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid earlier this season.
The three stars have been booed several times since that game, so could they all be tempted to leave after this title victory snub from their home crowd? We take a look at what could be in store for them this summer…
Neymar
Speaking after the game and addressing those booing fans, Neymar seemed to insist he wasn’t going anywhere.
“I still have a contract with Paris Saint-Germain,” he said to ESPN after the 1-1 draw with Lens. “I’m here for three more years, so stop [booing] or you’ll need more air.”
Sounds like the most likely place we’ll be seeing Neymar this summer is in a casino playing pokerstars as he so often does in his free time, rather than angling for a move, so a flutter on a bonus casino might be a better use of your money than betting on Neymar’s next transfer destination.
Kylian Mbappe
Heading towards the end of his contract, Kylian Mbappe is surely the main man to watch in the weeks and months ahead.
The France international has been linked strongly with the likes of Real Madrid and Liverpool, but there’s also been growing talk of him signing a new contract at PSG.
Perhaps last night’s scenes will make him change his mind, with PSG’s fans clearly not happy with Mbappe and his strike partners, so why stick around when fans of clubs all over the world would surely welcome him with open arms?
Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi may have scored against Lens last night, helping PSG to the title, but it’s been a hugely disappointing campaign for him in the French capital.
There has already been talk of the Argentine returning to Barcelona, but could he perhaps also be tempted by Manchester City, Inter Milan, or maybe an MLS club?
Whatever happens, we can’t see Messi staying at PSG, with the Ligue 1 giants already seeming to prepare for his departure as they’re linked with big names like Mohamed Salah and Ousmane Dembele coming in up front.
