Hammers hoping to secure deal for Ashley Young.
West Ham United are looking to build on their impressive summer work in the transfer market when the window reopens in a month’s time, with the Daily Star reporting that the Hammers are lining up a move for out-of-favour Manchester United winger Ashley Young.

Young has become an increasingly peripheral figure at Old Trafford since the departure of the manager who signed him, Sir Alex Ferguson, with current incumbent Louis van Gaal only using the England international sparingly and out-of-position in a wing back role.
Despite their fine start to the season under Sam Allardyce, however, West Ham are likely to be unwilling to match Young’s exorbitant Old Trafford wage, meaning that some compromise may be needed if the former Aston Villa man is to move on in search of regular football.
