Arsenal put a profligate first half performance behind them to seal a comeback win against London rivals West Ham United thanks to a brace from Theo Walcott and late strike from Lukas Podolski.

The second half opened up the game as Carlton Cole opened the scoring immediately after the break, pouncing upon a rebound after Wojciech Szczesny palmed the ball into his path.
Theo Walcott fired home an unlikely equaliser from a slow left foot shot that every player on the pitch thought would be deflected, but instead snuck between the legs of four players on its way in.
Having used no substitutes at all against Chelsea in Arsenal’s previous match, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was unafraid to turn to his bench this time in search of victory, and Lukas Podolski made a big difference.
The Germany international has been out since late August with a hamstring complaint, but supplied a sensational cross for Walcott to head home before firing home from the edge of the area himself after good work from Olivier Giroud.
Arsenal are back on top of the Premier League table, but Liverpool could overtake them with a positive result against Manchester City.
