The young midfielder could barely hold back the emotion after the Swans’ 2-2 draw.
Swansea City’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Monday night will probably be remembered for one man and that is ex-Reds and current Swans midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
The 21-year-old started the game against the Englishman’s former club in great style by netting in the first 10 minutes, but just two minutes later Shelvey then gifted a goal to Daniel Sturridge with a poor back pass.
To make matters worse the England international did the same thing again later in the match, before setting up Michu in the second half to rescue a point for the Welsh club.
In the post-match interview Shelvey appeared to be on the verge of tears as the youngster apologised to the fans at the Liberty Stadium.
