Young Brit causes yet another upset in Melbourne.
Britain’s Laura Robson could not conceal her delight following her astonishing comeback victory in the Australian Open.
The young Englishwoman overcame former Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in three sets in Melbourne.
“You know, she’s never someone who’s going to give you a lot of rhythm because she takes the ball so early,” said Robson.
“I just had to try to get as many balls back as I could, and I was pretty disappointed with myself in how I tried to serve out at 6-5 in the third. I just gave her a bit too much time on the ball, so to come out with a win is pretty pleasing.”
“Well, I would say all the wins are equally satisfying, but this one was probably the toughest in terms of, you know, how long the match was and how up and down it was. I think the turning point of the match, it seems, was when my agent got pooped on by a bird.”
Wimbledon Finals tickets are currently available. Book your seat for the 2013 final at the All England Club on July 7th as Andy Murray looks to pick up his second Grand Slam title.
