Who will win the prestigious goal-kicking medal for 2013?
With just weeks remaining in the AFL season the race for the Coleman Medal is set to be one of the closet in years.
The award for the most goals scored during the regular season is one of the most prestigious given out every year, with past winners reading like a who’s who list of greats of the sport.
Going into the weekend and five players are within striking distance of the top spot, with Greater Western Sydney’s Jeremy Cameron, Hawthorn’s Jarryd Roughead and West Coast’s Josh Kennedy all locked on 60 goals each.
Just off the pace are Travis Cloke from Collingwood on 58 and Jack Riewoldt from the Richmond Tigers 56.
Next player back, is Lance Franklin on 51, and while ‘Buddy’ can go off in any game and kick a big bag for the Hawks, Hawthorn have too many other attacking options to see him become a real threat for the title.
