Kangaroos hardly break a sweat against struggling AFL new-boys.
An eight-goal opening term has paved the way for the North Melbourne Kangaroos a big 86-point victory over the the Greater Western Sydney Giants at Etihad Stadium.
After the early onslaught, Giants coach Kevin Sheedy pushed the panic button and sent 11 players into the backline, as they attempted to stem the tide.
While it could be argued the negative tactic achieved the task intended, with the Kangaroos scoring just four goals in the second term, the game was over as a contest by then.
With a record of just 5-8 North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has told his side to simply what is in front of them and not worry about if they will make finals or not.
In the end Drew Petrie finished with six goals while Lindsay Thomas got four and Brent Harvey got three from 24 touches.
