Cavs beat Bulls in OT: (Video) LeBron leads Cleveland to win over rivals.
LeBron expects “long process” with Cavs: Two-time NBA champion believes it will take time to win.
Utah Jazz star Gordon Hayward sent the EnergySolutions Arena wild on Wednesday night with a buzzer-beating jumper to beat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Hayward ended the game with 21 points, but his last two were key as he broke free of James, who slipped to the floor, to catch an inbounds pass before faking a move to the basket and then stepped back on the right wing to swish a 21-foot jump shot as the horn sounded.
The shot sealed a 102-100 win for the hosts, but as expected, it was Hayward who stole the headlines with his inspired finish to the game.
“I’ve never really done that before. It was just one of those moments,” he said after the game.
With the entire arena breaking out into mayhem, Hayward was mobbed by his team-mates on the court while the Cavaliers were left to analyse a second road loss in two nights as they slip to 1-3 for the season.
James finished with 31 points while Kyrie Irving had a game-high 34 points, but the point guard failed to dish out a single assist while Kevin Love saw his double-double streak come to an end on a disappointing night for the Cavs.
