Australia finish up their preparation for the third clash against England.
Mitchell Starc did not agree Australia’s clash against Sussex was a bowl-off for the vacant spot left by the injury of James Pattinson.
After returning to Australia with stress fractures, Pattin’s place in the side will need to be filled ahead of the third Ashes Test against England.
Starc played in the first-up loss at Trent Bridge, before being dropped in favour of Ryan Harris at Lords, which resulted in a 347-run loss.
Again the Australian top-order failed to bat for a long period of time, with the quick-turnaround possibly playing its part it the latest injury setback for Pattinson.
