Ujiri made the headlines last year ahead of Game 1 of the playoffs against the Brooklyn Nets, when he screamed “F*** Brooklyn” at a fan rally outside the Air Canada Centre.
While he was hit with a $25,000 fine on that occasion, he refused to swear again this year in a recent interview with the risk of being fined again by the league.
However, in a bid to fire up the fans in ‘Jurassic Park’ outside the arena, he responded to Pierce’s comments that the Raptors don’t have “it” which makes him worried about the match-up.
Watch the video below to find out what Ujiri had to say, and although it was probably not necessary, it had the desired effect as the Raptors fans were loud both in and out of the arena with Pierce being fiercely booed every time he touched the ball in the opening quarter.
