Spanish publication Marca has spoken about their recent story that claimed that some Real Madrid players had asked President Florentino Perez to sack head coach Jose Mourinho.
“Marca published today part of the conversation that we have from our sources, we are not going to reveal the identity of those sources.
“There are many players that they would abandon the Real Madrid team if Jose Mourinho stays as manager and this was diclosed to the club president at a lunch last Tuesday.”
“Marca is not interested. Firstly in destabilizing Real Madrid. Secondly in causing harm our readers – the majority of which are Real Madrid,” said Marca journalist Miguel Serrano.
“Marca have never tried to destabilize anybody – or any club or any sporting body.

“The club doesn’t want Mourinho to continue. The president doesn’t want Mourinho to stay and the directors don’t have the capacity of these decisions – but they have voice. Also they don’t want Mourinho to stay.
“The majority of the players don’t want Mourinho to continue and the most important thing is that Mourinho doesn’t want to continue at Real Madrid. The directors and the players are fed up with Mourinho and Mourinho is fed up of the directors and many players at the club.”
