The ex-Reds and Leeds striker makes an error with swipe at women’s football.
A comment from ex-Liverpool star Robbie Fowler on live television meant that the former striker had to apologise for sexism.
Fowler referred to the on-field disagreement between Tottenham Hotspur’s Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Torres of Chelsea as like a ‘fight between girls.’
Complaints sent into the BBC forced the Reds legend to quickly backtrack and apologise for what was said – marked with the classic line of, ‘I really like women’s football.’
Classy Robbie.
