Mamba returns to form and picks up his first win of season.
The Los Angeles Lakers won their first game with Kobe Bryant in the line-up this season with a 88-85 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.
The 35-year-old has struggled since his return from a ruptured Achilles, as the Lakers have slipped to three consecutive losses and fallen to 13th in the Western Conference,
However, displaying some of the movement he enjoyed prior to his injury, Bryant had 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds during the win.
Although the Mamba admitted after the game that he is still working through the process of finding his legs, it appears as though he is gradually regaining his scoring touch and is in turn fitting in to the Lakers style of play.
Coach Mike D’Antoni has an injury crisis on his hands in the back-court, and Bryant has stepped in to fill the gap and operate as a point guard at times, which has also allowed him to distribute to the likes of Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill who both ended the game in double scoring figures.
