Given the fact that both Arsenal and Chelsea were eliminated from the competition on Tuesday night, Manuel Pellegrini will undoubtedly fancy his side’s chances of making a deep run and potentially going on to feature in the final and lift the trophy at Wembley next year.
However, there are a number of dangerous teams remaining in the draw and so the Chilean tactician may well choose to continue to put out strong line-ups in order to avoid a similarly early exit to that his rivals have experienced this week.
