England bowler Steven Finn speaks of his patience and frustration after using the bat to help England salvage a draw against New Zealand.
Steven Finn came in as night watchman at the end of day four, but went on to bat for four-and-a-half-hours on day five as his 56 helped England draw against the Kiwis.
Finn was partnered by Nick Compton and Jonathan Trott at the crease before eventually being dismissed by Bruce Martin after his marathon effort. It was important that England batted for as long as possible in their second innings after their poor first innings had given New Zealand the adavantage.
However it was a pleasant surprise for English fans that 6’8″ Finn provided so much with the bat, when usually his damage is done with the ball.
