Garnett hits 25,000 points landmark.
As the Boston Celtics swept to a 116-95 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, one man in particular had more reason than others to be pleased with his night’s work.
On his way to scoring 15 points on the night, Kevin Garnett became just the 16th man to surpass 25,000 points in the NBA.
For a man who has historically dismissed personal achievements over team objectives, there was a wonderful moment when his feat appeared on the big screen and applause broke out around the TD Garden.
Waving to his fans, and acknowledging his family in attendance, Garnett revealed that it meant a lot to him to join a list that includes the likes of Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain.
The NBA released a video on Friday taking you through the journey, congratulations KG!
