Comfortable victories for duo in Melbourne.
Li Na and Ana Ivanovic have both advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open.
Sixth-seeded Li Na was delighted with her win, saying: “Before the match I was a little bit nervous because I was play her like many, many times.
“I know she was like shoot the ball like unbelievable, you know. I never know if next ball is in or out. I have to ready for every second. But was pretty good today. I was feeling more, how you say, even more control.”
Meanwhile, Ivanovic was looking forward to taking on Agnieszka Radwanska in the next round.
“It’s going to be tough, for sure,” Ivanovic said.
“I have to be prepared to work hard for my points and to keep on putting pressure on her. But, you know, it’s just, again, working hard and just staying in the moment. I will go over the tactics a little more with my coach today and tomorrow, and, you know, hopefully we can have a good match.
“But it’s going to be, again, balance of, you know, being aggressive enough and then still patient enough.”
