Amir Khan and Devon Alexander weighed in on Friday ahead of their bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Both men have been in confident mood all week regarding their chances of capping off 2014 with a win in order to set themselves up for huge fights next year, and they both came in at the 147 limit on Friday.
In a welterweight division packed with talent, Khan continues to chase his dream fight with Floyd Mayweather, while Alexander will be fully aware that a win on Saturday night will catapult him back amongst the top names in the division.
Nevertheless, neither fighter will be looking beyond Saturday and with Keith Thurman featuring on the undercard as well as Timothy Bradley fighting in Vegas this weekend too, it is a real treat for welterweight fans in particular across the world.
With the talking now done, all eyes will be on the MGM Grand as Khan looks to take another step closer to a fight with Mayweather next year and he will hope that Alexander isn’t the man to derail his rise in the weight division.
