Kangaroos take on the Carlton Blues in a game of critical importance.
North Melbourne Kangaroo fans will be hoping their side can keep their faint AFL finals hopes alive when they tackle the Carlton Blues at Etihad Stadium.
It has been a season of near-misses for the Kangaroos, with several fade-outs late in games denying their valuable competition points.
As a result they sit in 11th going into round 17 of the competition, still eight points adrift of Port Adelaide who currently sit in the final place for the finals.
The clash is also an important one for Mick Malthouse and his Carlton side, as they need to start building momentum towards the back end of the season.
Currently in ninth, the Blues snapped their losing streak last round when they thumped the slumping St Kilda Saints by 36 points.
