Round 16 of the 2014 AFL season produced excellent goals, and it will have been difficult to narrow goal of the year nominations down to three.
Shane Kersten’s excellent one-on-one battle with Mark Austin during the Geelong-Western Bulldogs game resulted in a sublime goal for the Geelong man, and Dean Kent’s solo run and excellent left-footed finish had the crowd in Darwin on its feet.
But did Eddie Betts’ goal from the boundary for the Crows against GWS make the cut?
