Anderson set to leave Old Trafford.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has issued £26 million midfielder Anderson with an ultimatum, according to the Mirror, with the Brazilian told in no uncertain terms that he must get fit or he will be out of the Old Trafford exit door.

Anderson has barely been involved for United this season since van Gaal took over as manager and was also unimpressive during a loan spell with Fiorentina last season, with the potential that persuaded United to bring him to the Premier League from FC Porto no longer evident.
Van Gaal was scathing in his assessment of Anderson, suggesting that his fitness was simply not good enough for the midfielder to be considered for selection:
“I wouldn’t pick him yet because you have to be fit. Being fit to play is the smallest thing you can demand as a trainer.”
“You have to have professional league fitness. You have to be fit. That’s why players have to play in the second team, even players like Falcao, in spite of his name.”
“Fitness is the most important thing. First you have to show your fitness. Not for just one day but for several weeks.”
